BVLOS Canada is at the forefront of beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone operations in Canada. The role
We are looking for a Front-End Developer to join our engineering team and take ownership of our
customer-facing website and client operations portal. You will work closely with back-end
engineers, and product managers to deliver polished, performant, and accessible user interfaces.
Tech stack
Public website: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
Portal: React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
General: Git, CI/CD pipelines, REST and GraphQL APIs
Your tasks
Build and maintain responsive, accessible UI components for the Next.js public website
Develop and enhance features in the React-based client portal
Write well-typed TypeScript with a focus on maintainability and reusability
Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flows
Optimize application performance, bundle sizes, and Core Web Vitals
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions
Contribute to design-system documentation
Write unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks to ensure code quality and prevent regressions
What we are looking for
3+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications with React
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES2020+)
Experience with Next.js is highly valued
Deep familiarity with Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling approaches
Comfortable working with third-party UI kits and adapting them to project needs
Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and semantic HTML
Familiarity with Git workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
Nice to have
Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD)
Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment
Interest in drones, aerospace, or geospatial technology
